What’s For You!

What’s for you won’t pass you by… Inspirational words for your Monday from the FABULOUS Emily McCarthy. (If you haven’t seen her crazy gorgeous monograms, stationery and products, and you’re trying not to spend any money today then I strongly suggest not stopping by her site! I’ll sprinkle some of her pretties in here in case you really don’t care about what I’m rambling on about today!)

It seems to me that having dreams come true is sort of a snowball affect. One good thing happens and then, all of a sudden, all of these wonderful things that you hadn’t even dreamed of start coming your way and you have to (yikes!) say “no” to something that you are really interested in. I’m always worrying about passing up an opportunity that could have been really great, so this quote was just what I needed this morning.

In the end, what’s supposed to happen always will. But, sometimes, don’t you wish you could just take a little peek Sliding Doors-style at what will happen if you pick Door A and what will happen if you pick Door B?

I’ve been stressing all weekend about some choices I have to make, and my hubby finally said, “Has anything great in your life ever happened by you forcing it?”

Nope. Not one, single thing. Every amazing door that has opened has come when I just let it go. (I met my husband the night I said, “I’m not going to date anyone seriously this entire year.”!)It’s a lesson I have to learn over and over and over again. Maybe I’ll get it one day… But, for this week, I’m just going to stop stressing about what I “should” do and do it my way. So far, my gut hasn’t led me wrong yet. (Well, I mean, I don’t think it has. Who knows what could have been behind one of those doors I didn’t pick! Ha!)

I’m hoping that you get to savor this, one of the final weeks of summer and take some time to relax and that some nice sunny days are for all of us this week! Thanks for stopping by today!

    • It’s always nice to have a little something pretty on a Monday morning, isn’t it? xo Kristy

  • I agree! Often the best changes and opportunities just happen easily and naturally. Thanks for the reminder.
Emily McCarthy’s work is beautiful, too!
