As Summer Comes to an End…
Little Will is back in school, and I am back to the writing desk working on my 2026 novels. (Yes, I said novel(s)!!) BUT, you guys, we still have like 19 days left of summer, and I am hanging onto every one! I’m cooking up a fun way to celebrate the end of my favorite season, so stay tuned for details on that next week.
AND, guess what! We’re going to the James Taylor concert tomorrow! I am so, so, so excited. James Taylor is my favorite artist of all time (Don’t tell Taylor Swift. I love her, too, but JT was first.) and this concert was a (very fun) birthday present. I absolutely cannot wait. Do you have a favorite James Taylor song?

Take My Class!
TOMORROW, I am teaching a Lunch & Learn with Story Summit! We’ll be talking about how to build a reading community, whether that’s a group like Friends & Fiction or simply building your own author platform. AND I’m going to be telling you exactly what I would do to build my reading community if I was starting from scratch, today.
Beach House Rules Favorites from the Summer:
I have been blown away by the love for Beach House Rules! Here is a favorite review from @ infinite.readlist on Instagram! ⛱️MY THOUGHTS: This is the PERFECT beach read, featuring well-developed characters and intriguing storylines that will draw you in from the start. I loved how the women in the story bonded together, and provided unwavering support as they each navigated their individual challenges. The friendship and resilience they displayed created a heartwarming atmosphere that makes this book one that will linger in your mind long after summer vacation ends. Don’t miss this enjoyable summer read!
This Week on Friends and Fiction:
Join us Wednesday, September 3rd at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel as Kristin Harmel & Kristy Woodson Harvey welcome NYT-bestselling author Sarah McCoy to discuss her spellbinding new novel, Whatever Happened To Lori Lovely?, which is based on the true story of a beautiful young movie star of Hollywood’s Golden Age who gives up her bright career to become a nun.
