Super fun announcement alert! I have a short story coming out from Amazon Publishing on March 1! A million thanks to Rebecca Regnier for letting me announce the fun news on her Author’s Note. If you’re in the mood for something short(er) and sweet, check out LEAVE IT UP TO LOVE!
From New York Times bestselling author Kristy Woodson Harvey comes a funny, feel-good tale—a seaside romp about chasing dreams, losing illusions, and writing your own story.
Ready for her big break after publishing her first novel, Lila Everwood has two fresh book ideas and dreams of quitting her barista job. She’s hopeful about her future—until her writing catches her literary idol’s attention in all the wrong ways.
Elizabeth Lancaster, the queen of regency romance, hasn’t written a word in three years. Her publisher’s solution? A ghostwriter. Specifically, her favorite coffee server. It’s either brilliance or madness—and her literary agent son Grady thinks it’s definitely the latter.
As the ideas begin to fly, so do the sparks—between Lila and Grady. And, as Lila’s and Elizabeth’s worlds collide, the two writers must lean on each other, learning something vital in the process: In life, love, and publishing, sometimes you have to write your own happy ending.

Speaking of Getting Away from the Snow…
We just had the most fun sunny getaway to Palm Beach! We had super warm beach days (my fave!) along with fishing and shopping and a lot of eating… Will and I celebrated our December 29 anniversary a little late at The Colony. We got lots of rest, plenty of Vitamin D, and had the best time! Now, back to reality!
Jennifer Vido’s SIMPLICITY BY THE SEA:
My friend Jennifer Vido has a new book out! And Kirkus loved it! “This is Vido’s third entry in her Gull Island series, and her simple, conversational prose deftly captures the evocative atmospherics of life on the small, Lowcountry island off the coast of South Carolina—the salty sea breezes, the old lighthouse, Southern comfort food, the few sun-basking alligators.” —Kirkus Reviews
SO excited for her and this great new book!
Friends & Fiction
On the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel as the full F&F family gathered to welcome this month’s F&F Featured Author, the NYT-bestselling Paula McLain, to discuss our January 2026 Pick of the Month, her new mesmerizing tale of Paris above and below, Skylark, in which a woman’s quest for artistic freedom in 1664 intertwines with a doctor’s dangerous mission during the German occupation in the 1940s, revealing a story of courage and resistance that transcends time.
Have a great week, friends!
