There are weekends you look forward to and then there are weekends that turn out to be even more magical than you could have imagined. The Peachtree Bluff Town Takeover in Beaufort, North Carolina, was one of those weekends for me!

For a few unforgettable days, the town that has inspired so much of Peachtree Bluff truly became Peachtree Bluff. Our favorite Beaufort businesses joined in the fun with special menu items, festive storefronts, bookish surprises and so many thoughtful details. Readers explored town with their Peachtree Bluff Bingo cards, visited favorite local spots, climbed aboard the double-decker bus and experienced the real-life coastal charm behind the fictional town!

Seeing readers carrying copies of Falling for Peachtree Bluff along Front Street, meeting new friends in line, comparing favorite characters and sharing stories about what this series has meant to them was incredibly special. Some of you have been with the Murphy sisters since the very beginning, while others were visiting Peachtree Bluff for the first time. Welcoming all of you felt like the most wonderful family reunion.

One of the weekend’s most memorable moments was our literary luncheon at Beaufort Grocery. Sharing a beautiful meal surrounded by readers, books, peaches and the loveliest fall details felt like stepping straight into the pages of a novel. There was laughter, conversation and that instant connection that happens when people who love stories gather around a table.

But the true magic of the weekend was all of you. You traveled from near and far. You brought your mothers, daughters, sisters, best friends and book clubs. You shared the places where you first discovered Peachtree Bluff, the characters who stole your hearts and the scenes that made you laugh or cry. You reminded me, once again, that books may begin with a writer, but readers are the ones who bring them fully to life.

I am endlessly grateful to the Beaufort businesses, community partners, volunteers, booksellers and friends who opened their doors and embraced this celebration so wholeheartedly. Every sign, special drink, discount, warm welcome and thoughtful touch helped make the weekend extraordinary. Beaufort has always held such a special place in my heart. Watching it transform into Peachtree Bluff and seeing all of you experience it together was a dream come true.

Thank you for showing up, celebrating Falling for Peachtree Bluff and loving this fictional town as if it were real. For one beautiful weekend, it truly was.
