True story: When my first book released in 2015, my attendance threshold for a good event was seven people. If I had seven people, I was pretty pumped and considered the event worthwhile. If I had twenty? Pop the champagne!
Fast forward ten years, and I have already seen more than 1,300 of you on tour. How WILD is that? It’s kind of unbelievable, actually. And I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I’m sure y’all have heard me say that launch week is the most important week because it defines a book’s trajectory for the rest of its little bookish life. So… on this last couple days of launch week, I just wanted to humbly ask:
If you are planning on the buying the book in the near future, would you think about doing it today? I would appreciate it so much!
As for the thousands upon thousands of you who have already gotten your copy, thank you, thank you, thank you for reading and reviewing and posting and recommending to your book clubs and requesting at your libraries and alllll the things you have done to make this launch week a huge success already. I am gobsmacked and overjoyed and so flattered!
I’ll be humming and maybe skipping a little through my events in Franklin, IN, St. Louis, MO, and Gig Harbor, WA to close out this week because you have made it so, so, so fantastic. Then, on Monday, I’ll be in Seattle, then off to San Diego and Coronado, CA, and then back to NC and SC to finish things off!
If you’d like a signed copy, give Wild Geese a ring at 317-494-6545 or Novel Neighbor at 314-738-9384. I’ll be there and happy to personalize!
