Hi, friends! Are you having a great weekend? We are! We’re having the best time on our family beach trip with all of my mom’s extended family. AND I get to do a super fun book signing with my fellow Salisburian Catherine Goodman Farley on John’s Island. Catherine is the author of the wonderful Mischievous Mimi Explores Seabrook Island. And the coolest part? She co-authored it with her girls! I adore Catherine’s books and the lessons held within them and can’t wait to get to sign with her! If you’re in the area, stop by and get Mischievous Mimi for your kiddos and Dear Carolina for yourself. Everyone deserves a great summer read!
I also wanted to share with you some of my favorite reviews from the week. Heather and Vanessa from At the Picket Fence shared a review just as lovely as the Dear Carolina themed tablescape they created. These ladies are writers, no doubt. I found myself reading their words out loud just to savor them a little longer! Here’s a sneak peek: “Have you ever watched honey drip from a spoon? How it starts out slow and steady. And, at first, you think that it is just one solid color but as it catches the light you suddenly notice all of the different tones, the different layers.” You can’t not want to read that!
Judith Collins is my new BFF for adding this little phrase to her review of DEAR CAROLINA when she posted it on Twitter: “The next Dorothea Benton Frank meets Emily Giffin!” I can’t think of a much better compliment than that one!
However you’re spending your weekend, I hope it’s wonderful!
