I love writing books. Love it, love it, love it. I actually kind of get butterflies in my stomach when I sit down to work. But, then, when I know said books are actually coming out into the world, I get a different kind of butterflies… And they aren’t as good. Because then I start to worry a lot about people actually liking the book that I’ve worked so hard on!
So it’s always a huge relief when reviews start rolling in, and, a couple of days ago, I got my very first one for LIES AND OTHER ACTS OF LOVE from two of my favorite authors, Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke! I’m sure you’ve heard of them. Their latest, THE STATUS OF ALL THINGS has been all over the place, and is a must-read, by the way. It is as charming and wonderful as these ladies are — and will make you look at social media in a whole new way!
I have marveled at how these two, long-time best friends, are able to write together. What a talent! I had the pleasure of meeting Liz and Lisa at BEA in May, and they are as awesome in person as they are on the page. Here’s what they had to say about my latest:
