If anyone knows a thing or two about artistic inspiration, it’s most certainly Picasso. And I think he must be right that it has to find you working. So, this week, that’s my plan: working! The final edits for Lies and Other Acts of Love were finished last week, and now it’s time to start putting the finishing touches on this third manuscript whose finished first draft has been sitting on my desktop since July!
I always knew it would be this way, even way back during those first manuscripts that never saw the light of day. I knew that writing for other people would feel vastly different than just sitting at my desk writing for myself, that these new drafts would suddenly feel different. But, I have to say that it is vastly different in the best way ever! (If not a little more stressful!)
So, I guess, as it’s Monday, it’s off to work. That I can even call writing books that seems like a dream come true… Whatever you’re working on this week, I hope you find the perfect inspiration!
