I’ve done dozens of radio shows since Dear Carolina came out… And I’ve never listened to a single one! Isn’t that awful? I just couldn’t bring myself to do it… Until now! I just did this awesome podcast with my new friend Taylor Bradford of Pink Heels Pink Truck and the Boss Girl Creative podcast. And we really got into the nitty gritty of writing, blogging, being a girl boss… And our favorite James Bond actor, of course. In other news, I had the privilege of hanging with some amazing women in Walnut Creek, NC today and chatting about Dear Carolina. They were so encouraging and so supportive. It is not an exaggeration to say that this is one of my favorite parts of being an author! Aren’t they so cute?
This weekend I’m getting the privilege of speaking, along with some of my favorite local authors (looking at you Normandie Ward Fisher!) at the New Bern-Craven County Public Library’s Author Symposium! If you’re in New Bern this Saturday, September 12 from 1-4pm please come by and say hi! I’m so excited to get to be a part of this event with so many great authors from around North Carolina.
Speaking of great authors from around North Carolina, the launch party for my friend Whitney Grady’s new book, THE PASS OF THE CROW, is tomorrow night, September 10, at Buy Local Gallery starting at 5 pm. If you’re around Kinston, come get your book signed!
